President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed shock over Thursday’s evening tanker explosion that took place along Otedola Bridge in Lagos-Ibadan expressway, where nine people lost their lives.
The incident which occurred in the evening saw four person injured and 54 Vehicles burnt down by the inferno.
He made this known in a statement issued by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, in Abuja on Thursday.
Buhari expressed his deepest condolences to the government and people of Lagos over the tragic incident.
““I’m very sad to learn of the tragic loss of lives, tens of vehicles, property and other valuables in the petrol tanker fire,’’ said President Buhari in reaction to the tanker explosion.
He said: “”Sadly, this seems to be one of the greatest tragedies we have seen in recent times.’’
