In 2016 filmmaker Joseph Ken Ssebaggala had four nominations for his film ‘House Arrest’, but did not win any. Other Ugandan nominees were Michael Wawuyo for Best Make-Up artist in 2015, and ‘Beneath the Lies’ for Best Television Series in 2017.
In other news Nigerian veteran film and television professional, Deborah “Debbie” Odutayo was named as the Head Judge for this year’s awards.
