Late human rights activist, Chief Gani Fawehinmi’s Son, Muhammed Fawehinmi has rejected reports that his father would have rejected the ‘Order Of Federal Republic’ giving to him by President Muhammadu Buhari if he was alive.
Muhammed made this disclosure via his twitter handle on Thursday, where he commended Buhari’s decision to honour his late father.
“My father would not have rejected the award.He rejected the OFR award given to him because it was not deserving.
“We thank the Federal Government for the honour ,we appreciate it and we accept it.
“We also thank the government for recognising the June 12 struggle. We thank the president for the honour”, he said.
