The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has distributed sensitive materials that will be used in Saturday’s Ekiti Governorship Election.
Disclosing this information Thursday was the spokesman of INEC in the state, Alhaji Taiwo Gbadegesin, who said they have conveyed the sensitive materials from the Central Bank, Ado Ekiti to the 16 Local Government headquarters accompanied by armed security men.
“All we are doing is to maintain our stand on transparency and openness, even as we also guide against infiltration.
“The other reason we are keeping to our plans and programmes is that we do not want any failure, especially on issues concerning the late arrival of voting materials at all venues,” he said.
