2019 Elections: Obasanjo Parleys With Bode George, Adebanjo, Bakare In Lagos


*Ends Rift With The Afenifere Chieftain

Ahead 2019 general elections, former President Olusegun Obasanjo has held crucial talks with Afenifere chieftain, Pa Ayo Adebanjo, in Lagos aimed towards forming a strong force to defeat the ruling party (All Progressives Party).

The meeting had in attendance some leaders of the pan-Yoruba socio-cultural organization and key elders statesmen, paved way for serious issues to be discussed.

Others in attendance are Prof. Akin Mabogunje, Mrs. Awolowo Dosumu, Pastor Tunde Bakare, Mr. Supo Shonibare, Mr. Yinka Odumakin, Otunba Gbenga Daniel and Olusegun Mimiko, former Ogun and Ondo State Governors respectively.

Earlier in the day, the former military head of state had a ground breaking meeting with former ally and erstwhile National Deputy Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bode George on Saturday.

Confirming this was the sister to Bode George who stated that the move by Obasanjo was a welcome development aim at ending their rift

“We are all shocked when this started. But, today, the devil has been put to shame. The evil this morning has been condemned outside this house. It will never come to this two great Nigerians anymore.

“There is another time when my brother will find Ota his home. It is over, Allah takes all the thanks,” she said.
